Success Stories

What the decisions actually looked like.

Composite case studies drawn from our advisors' files, with identifying details removed. Each one turns on a single decision made early — usually about qualification level, sequencing, or evidence.

We publish the decision, not the applause. Names and dates are withheld because visa files are private, and we will not put a student's paperwork on a marketing page.

Post-study work visa, engineering consultancy in Auckland

Held an offer for a two-year Canadian diploma in construction management that would not have carried a work permit under the current criteria. Redirected into a Master of Engineering, which preserved three years of open work rights. Now employed with a consultancy and tracking toward residence through occupational registration.

Decision point: qualification level, not institution ranking.

Nursing

Green List role, work-to-residence

Qualified nurse whose credential needed assessment and an English band above the programme minimum. Took a bridging qualification in Wellington rather than a full second degree, cleared registration, and moved into a Green List role that carries a defined residence pathway.

Decision point: registration route sequenced before the visa file.

Three-year post-study work visa, Christchurch

Strong profile, but Express Entry modelling put a realistic CRS in the low 450s — below recent cutoffs. Chose a New Zealand bachelor's completion plus honours year, which converted into open work rights without depending on a draw. Two years of skilled employment logged, with the 2026 reduction in the experience requirement now working in their favour.

Decision point: a pathway that did not depend on a competitive draw.

Early childhood education

Teaching role, residence application lodged

Mature applicant with prior study and a dependent partner. Partner work rights and the funds evidence were the real obstacles, not admission. File was built around both, approved first submission, and the residence application went in after two years of teaching.

Decision point: partner and funds evidence structured before applying.

In their words

I had already paid a deposit for a college in Ontario. They walked me through what the work permit rules meant for my programme, and it was not what I had been told. Two weeks later I had an offer in Wellington instead.

Priya R.

Master of Information Technology — from Brampton, Ontario

What convinced me was that they showed me the immigration pages themselves instead of asking me to trust a brochure. When I asked whether my daughter's field would qualify, the answer was a straight no, with an alternative that did.

Marcelo D.

Parent — from São Paulo, Brazil

Nobody tried to upsell me. The first call ended with a list of three programmes and one clear warning about my funds evidence. That warning is the reason my visa was approved first time.

Names shortened at our clients' request. We can put you in touch with a past client in a similar situation before you commit to anything.

Your file will hinge on one or two decisions too.

The value of the call is finding out which ones, early enough that they are still yours to make.
